Scope
This page applies to the iOS version of Deep Deck distributed through Apple's App Store and TestFlight.
Information we collect
Deep Deck is designed to collect as little information as possible. Depending on how you use the App, information may include:
- Content you create and save in the App, such as custom deck titles, custom cards, notes, preferences, and session settings stored on your device.
- Purchase status needed to unlock paid decks or features purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system.
- Information you choose to send us directly, for example if you contact support by email.
What we do not collect
- No account or login: the App does not require an account.
- No ads: we do not use advertising SDKs.
- No third-party analytics SDKs: we do not use tools such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar analytics products in the current iOS app.
- No cloud sync: we do not upload your decks, cards, or session content to our servers.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access: the current iOS app does not request these permissions to operate.
How the App works on iOS
- On-device storage: app content and settings are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.
- In-app purchases: if you buy a deck or feature, the transaction is processed by Apple using StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card information.
- Restore purchases: the App can ask Apple to restore eligible previous purchases tied to your Apple account.
Conversation answers and sensitive content
Deep Deck is designed for meaningful conversations. Some prompts may lead users to discuss sensitive topics. We do not need sensitive personal information to operate the App.
Please avoid entering content into the App that you would not want stored on your device.
How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide the App's core features.
- Save your local settings and custom content on your device.
- Unlock paid decks or features you purchase through Apple.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
- Protect the App and users from abuse, fraud, or technical issues.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your in-app content with third parties because we do not collect that content on our servers.
We may share limited information only in the following situations:
- Apple purchase infrastructure: purchases are processed by Apple.
- Legal and safety: if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, or our rights.
- Business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information you separately provided to us, such as support emails, may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention
- On-device content: remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Support emails: retained only as needed to respond, troubleshoot, and keep reasonable business records.
Your choices
- You can delete local app data using in-app controls, where available, or by uninstalling the App.
- You can contact us to request deletion of information you sent directly by email.
- You can manage Apple in-app purchase subscriptions and purchase history through your Apple account settings, where applicable.
Children's privacy
Deep Deck is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information we receive. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

If you use the App outside the United States, any information you send us directly, such as support emails, may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective date at the top of this page.
If changes are material, we may provide notice in the App or on the website where this policy is hosted.
